AMANDA (JAGNIECKI) VALDEZ
Hi! My name is Amanda Valdez. I have been practicing yoga consistently for over a decade and teaching for eight years. I received my 200-Hour Teacher Training Certification at PeaceLab Yoga in Grandville, MI, under Melanie McQuown in May 2017. Since then, I’ve completed a Yin Yoga Online Teacher Training with Gioconda Parker in 2020, and most recently, Rest & Renew Level 1 Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Judith Hanson Lasater in St. Paul, Minnesota, in October 2024.
My teaching style weaves together active, alignment-based peak poses and flow sequencing with the stillness of yin and restorative practices. Whether building strength, moving with the breath, or finding deep rest, each practice is grounded in mindfulness and self-care. As my own practice has evolved, I’ve grown to prioritize ease, nervous system regulation, and presence over intensity, creating space for students to meet themselves exactly as they are.
Yoga helps me find balance—it makes me more present, aware, and resilient, while easing stress and supporting a healthier, happier life. My hope is to inspire and guide students toward that same sense of well-being. When I’m not on my mat, you’ll likely find me at a live music show, at the beach or in the woods, or snuggled up with my husband and our fur babies at home in Pentwater.
